This month the team have dived headlong into the Storm. The writers’ room has expanded, introducing new places, people, and stories to Tidefall. Our regular discord demos have had us journey across an ever-evolving Ebstone and into the depths of Bluestone Mine.
It’s absolutely fantastic to see so many joining our community, and endlessly rewarding when we put so much effort and love into making this game happen. It’s been another huge month for us and we’re delighted to share more with you, spotlighting art on our social media channels and two new characters populating Tidefall.
Introducing Vrixa, The Goblin Rogue
Washed up on an island hidden in the eye of the Storm, Vrixa is lucky not to be dead. Now in Tidefall, Vrixa’s out for the heist of a lifetime. Exiled after one theft went wrong, this is a goblin who keeps the few cards she has left close to her chest.

Vrixa is far from the only player-character on our minds in the writers’ room and art studio.

A Stranger in Strange Garb…
Schist, the blacksmith’s apprentice, has seen a figure skulking through Ebstone. Through a drunken haze, folk in the Golden Pick mention this decrepit lurker too. ‘A gangly man,’ says a beggar, ‘he wears a yellow hood, a hood with strange shapes embroidered on. I swear I’ve seen something like it—before the troll took everything from me and mine.’
Waters, the quarry foreman, is sure the hooded one has come from far northern Veloria, a city practically myth in Ebstone: ‘A university man, I’ve no doubt. But what does he want, ranging about the hills where that troll’s been seen?’
Who is this stranger? Spotted in Ebstone Hills, around Bluestone Mine, and squatting in the abandoned quarries, he is certainly not from here. As to what he wants—well, you’ll just have to join us to find out.
