Dear Adventurer
Happy 2026!
Last year was a doozy, from new team members to seeing playtesters finally getting stuck into playing Tidefall – and even winning an award along the way. You can read all about 2025 here.
This year promises to be even bigger.
That’s because in March, we will be opening Tidefall to everyone!
That’s right. Following the success of our playtesting phase last year, we want to get as many of you involved as we can. Because of that, the next phase of the game will be optimised for mobile, allowing you to pick up your campaign seamlessly from computer to commute.
We’ve written to you about Sarnath before. The writers, musicians, artists, and devs have been hard at work bringing this city, and the full extent of Southern Provinces, to life. Work has been steady, and in the coming months you will be able to experience it as well. You’ll be able to read about it the world on the revamped website (more inside!).
This update will come with a swathe of other new features, so keep an eye on Discord announcements as we move closer to launch.
Let’s dive in, shall we?
The world of tidefall
In preparation for the March open alpha, the team has been giving the website a needed refresh. This includes an brand new Lore area World of Tidefall page, to reflect upcoming changes and major updates to the game from March onwards.
On the World of Tidefall page you’ll find a full world map, as well as dedicated deep-dives. Click through to read about the Storm encircling the island, get details on the Factions vying for control, and an insight into the major Races living on Tidefall.

Everything you can read about is being built for you to campaign through, with the Southern Provinces being the first to arrive. This is a major locale on Tidefall, comprising multiple regions including Ebstone, Sarnath, the Sarn Valley, Fellmarch, and the Screaming Wastes.
Sarnath City alone is bigger and more detailed than the entire Ebstone Region, and thanks to new narrative techniques, the stories you’ll uncover and characters you’ll met promise to swallow you up even more.
So why not have a refresher on Ebstone before you take the opportunity to dive into Sarnath?
Explore Sarnath City

This is the looming capital of the Southern Province and the master of Ebstone, ruled by Darion Quince from its heart, the Black Keep.
When you arrive, the City is under lockdown: mysterious killings have escalated, and the Black Keep is determined to find out why and to show the murderer Mercy – by hanging them in Marshall Square.

After leaving Ebstone, your story picks up in the Riverfront, a seedy, deprived district. Here, boatbuilders, bargemen, vagrants, fishmongers, and urchins keep out of sight to avoid the Crimson Brotherhood. From the Ruddy Cloak to abandoned warehouses, Darion uses these thuggish agents to keep a grip on all coming in and out via the Sarn River.
You’ll soon witness these killings and realise that, if you want to see the world beyond Sarnath’s walls, you have a role to play…
So come join us on Discord and signup to the playtest!
Thank you for being a part of our community, we can’t wait to see you plunge into Tidefall with us.
